Are you an Internet Marketer who is on LinkedIn?
How about checking out my LinkedIn page: http://www.linkedin.com/in/lancebachmann.
As you can see, not only am I spending my time keeping you up-to-date on all of the latest things happening in the office and in my industry on my blog, but I am also publishing articles to my LinkedIn page.
If this is something you are not doing, I highly suggest looking into it—becoming a publisher on LinkedIn.
Why do I do this?
One of the benefits of becoming a publisher on LinkedIn is that you are able to raise your brand’s awareness. In fact, you will be able to put YOUR NAME in front of other people in your LinkedIn network more often than you ever have before. The only thing that you need to do is be CONSISTENT with publishing articles, and I know how hard this can be in such a fast-paced and demanding industry!
If you need some advice on how to keep yourself on a consistent LinkedIn writing and publishing schedule, I suggest picking out one day and time a week that will give you enough time to produce some content. In fact, put it in your calendar to do this same task the same day and time of every week.
If you tell yourself: “This is my time to do this” you will get it done. You can almost look at it like this: if you have an appointment with a client you will (should) be there on time and NOT CANCEL. So, if you have an appointment to write and have allotted that time to do that there is no reason that you should cancel. Unless of course something serious comes up!
As you can tell by my LinkedIn, I publish pretty consistently—most of the time every Monday. This way I am consistent and people will expect to see something from me around this time.
After all, there is nothing to dislike about a punctual person. Plus, NOT being on time is a big pet peeve of mine!!!
